This website tells the story of one family told in the following four chapters:

• In "The Beginning", we tell of the Cusick's ancestors the de Cusac's and de Cusack's history. Their migration from France to Ireland and of their success in Ireland.
• In "Coming to America", we tell of the story of one of our less successful Irish relatives, Bartholomew Cusick. It tells of his circuitous route from Ireland to the Boston Area of Massachusetts, how it came about and of the life he and his family lead in America.
• In "Our Civil War", we tell of the experiences that Batholomew and his son, Thomas, had while they served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.
• In "Becoming Successful" we tell the story of the successes of Thomas John Cusick, and of his son Laurence who attended Harvard Medical School.

There is much more to this story, but it involves the living members of the family and so we reserve that part of the story for them alone.
